Monry I will take a look at how Engineering will work in Battle for Azeroth. Compared to previous expansions Blizzard has added quite a few new crafts that changes up how attractive Engineering is from a maake making point of view. Once again we are still in the dark on how and where the recipes are obtained. The vast majority of the recipes have 3 ranks, with only the level weapons and the Mecha-Mogul Mount currently having only one rank. In Battle for Azeroth Engineers get access to a wider variety of items that actually help players in normal gameplay than usual. There is a wide variety of item types you can craft as you can see from the list below:. This list only contains the items that can actually be traded as we are focused on the gold making aspects of the profession. Engineers get access to three different guns. Two of them are required level and one is required level Either way I expect the weapons to be decent sellers, particularily the best stat combinations. The major drawback is ofcourse that these are only really useful for hunters. The Melee weapons are exactly the same as the ranged ones.
Types of Professions
Engineering is notorious for being bad at making money, meaning that it usually costs more gold than you can make from it. In this guide, I will walk you through leveling engineering from skill levels 1 to bringing you all the way through apprentice and journeyman ranks. Not only will this minimize your losses while leveling, but I believe you will actually be able to make gold while leveling engineering. This guide differs from most other engineering leveling tutorials because our aim is to make a positive return on investment ROI not just level it as fast or cheaply as possible. While leveling engineering, we will focus on making materials required for future levels all the while keeping an eye on our net final earnings. If engineering is known for losing money, why do so many people level it? The reason for this is that it the most useful profession when it comes to PvP. This is because you get awesome trinkets and items that are full of utility in addition to being able to use certain items like bombs to stun or daze enemies which can get you out of stick situations or set you up for a nice combo. Gold is everything in vanilla. Engineering is too expensive. Most people will not have it remotely maxed out before hitting The ones who attempt this having mining or not will sink tons of gold or many of hours attempting to fight the masses for mineral nodes. Even having the skill up, end game gadgets will cost you a great sum of money. This profession should not be a priority.
